Aloha!

I have had a wonderful and exciting life!  I was born in Korea and adopted when I was one and a half years old.  I am half Korean and half alien... not really, but I don't know what the other half is.  That doesn't bother me, though.  I'm just happy to have been adopted into a family that has loved me for so many years.

As a child, I lived in New Jersey, Belgium, Hawaii, and finally Connecticut.  I don't remember anything from New Jersey, but I do have vague memories of living in Brussels, Belgium.  We lived in an apartment building next to a nunnery and across the street from a mansion that looked like a medieval castle!  In Belgium, you are allowed to bring your dog to restaurants with you, where it sits under the table and gnaws on bones.  Suppers are very, very late, and sometimes I wished I could go to sleep under the table with the dog!  I went to an all French speaking school, so for a time I was bilingual.

After four years, my family moved to Kahala, Hawaii.  Kahala is just on the other side of Diamond Head on island of Oahu.  We lived with the Pacific Ocean in our back yard.  I forgot all my French and how to ski, but I did learn how to swim like a fish and to fish like a fisherman!

Five years later we moved to Connecticut, which is where I lived until I went to college in Ohio.  After that, I  lived in several places, including Woodbury, Connecticut; West Hartford, Connecticut; Avon Lake, Ohio; Seattle, Washington; and now I'm back in Hawaii on the island of Maui!

Over the years, I have traveled far and wide.  I've spent time in Russia and Tahiti, I've backpacked all over Europe, and I've even been back to Korea for a visit.  I love to travel, and I highly recommend it to you!  Not only is it wonderful to experience other cultures, meet new people, try new foods, and make new friends, when you come home, it makes you appreciate your own back yard all the more!
